A little planning can go a long way toward a winning project. In MiSpace Hackathon 2025 we want to be sure your project is out of this world and want to help you get there.
Check out our Tips for Planning Your Project and the rough milestone timeline below for when to start different activities:
Brainstorm (Today)
Pick an idea (Tomorrow)
Quick design and how it might work (November 3)
Start building (November 4)
Start your submission (November 10)
Finish up your project (November 13)
Record your demo video (November 14)
Finish submission (November 16)
Continue making updates if you have extra time (until the deadline - November 17)
If you haven’t already, review the resources for useful links and guides to help you start and finish your project.
To tackle that first step, here are some suggestions:
- Learn about the United States Coast Guard (10 minutes)
- Understand the problem statement (30 minutes)
- Dive into the data to see what is available (45 minutes)
- Brainstorm potential solutions (45 minutes)
